About The Event
Frenchmans Lake's altitude is 5600 feet, Average depth is 35 feet, deepest spot is 100 feet.
Area of lake is 2.5 square miles, with numerous coves. Primary species is Eagle Lake rainbows.
Directions: Either drive up to Reno, then north on Hwy 395, then West on Hwy 70 to Chilcoot, or go via Truckee, North on 89N to Hwy 70, then East to Chilcoot. Follow signs from Chilcoot north into Frenchmans.
Meeting Location / Time: Frenchmans Lunker Point, launch area @ 8:00 - 9:00 am.
This is a Fish-out / Campout starting 5/11 am, and finishing 5/12 pm. Campsites are first come, first served in this early season.. There is still snow around as of mid April, but should be clear by 5/11.
