Contact Frank Rinella (530-906-4116 firstname.lastname@example.org) should you wish to participate.
Kids Fishing Derby is fast approaching and we need your help at both the Cleanup Day at Blair pond on May 9th and the day of the event May 12th . This GCFF sponsored yearly event enables about 50 kids and their family to have a free day of fishing for trophy trout.
Our part at the derby is to be a mentor to the kids and their families, helping them with rigging, bait, bird’s nests, casting etc.
Meet at 7:30AM at the CVS parking lot at Brunswick and Sutton Way in Grass Valley (far end of lot by Sutton Way). Note the start time 7:30. We will Carpool up to Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park. (see Day Use Fee below)
At about 12:45 we all move up to the grass picnic area where we will have fly tying and casting instructions for the kids. If you’re a tyer and would like to help with tying or casting let Frank know.
