About The Event
Float tube, pontoon boat, ladder, private boat - fishing for Lahontan Cutthroat Trout for three days and two nights. Shared lodging at Crosby’s Lodge (two 3-person trailers) has been reserved for up to 6 members. If desired, we can share meals. Payment of $60 will assure you of a bed for two nights in one of the two reserved trailers. Cost of lodging will be adjusted once we know how many people have signed up - to assure that everyone pays the same amount. If you want to obtain your own lodging, you are welcome to join the group for fishing.

Fish for: Lahontan Cutthroat Trout
Fishing Strategy: Stillwater fishing from float tube/pontoon boat/power boat/ladder
Recommended Gear:
- Rods: 5 wt to 8 wt;
- Lines: 6 to 9 wt sinking line; floating line and indicator with chironomids can work too.
- Leaders: 6 to 7 ft , longer for indicator nymphing
- Tippet: 10 to 12 lb test
- Flies: Many flies work, including woolly buggers (size 4-6), midges (size 12-16), foam beetles(size 8-10), nymphs (size 12-16).
- Other Gear: float tube or pontoon boat; fins, waders, pfd (floatation device), sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, gloves, anchor, BIG NET, warm clothes
